Social Media Attracting Business with Integrity: Utilising Power
In the age of digital connectivity, the power of social media as a tool for attracting and growing businesses cannot be ignored.
There are billions of users worldwide, and social media platforms offer an unparalleled opportunity for businesses to reach potential clients, showcase their work, and tell their stories real and inspirational.
- Facebook has 2.958 billion monthly active users
- YouTube’s potential advertising reach is 2.514 billion.
- WhatsApp has at least 2 billion, monthly active users.
- Instagram has 2 billion monthly active users
- TikTok app has been downloaded 3 Billion times since its launch in September 2016
More than half of the world uses social media (59%) 4.76 billion people around the world now use social media. 137 million new users have come online within the last 12 months (figures searched 1st quarter 2023), and the average daily time spent using social media is 2h 31m.
Social media is a phenomenon that is not going away anytime soon and how we use it is of course entirely up to us and use it we must is my belief.
I will briefly explore the advantages of harnessing the magic of social media to not only create brand awareness but also foster meaningful connections that can become part of your long-term success.
Humanising Your Brand
One of the most significant advantages of social media posting is the ability to humanise your brand. Your potential customers get to know you, like you and trust you.
By sharing the real stories behind your products or services, you give potential customers a glimpse into the people and values that drive your business.
This ethical approach creates a sense of trust and loyalty, which are essential for building long-lasting relationships with your customers.
Engaging Your Audience
Social media platforms provide a unique opportunity for businesses to interact directly with their audience.
You can create a sense of community and engagement by asking questions, responding to comments, and sharing user-generated content.
This active participation not only fosters brand loyalty but also provides valuable insights into the needs and preferences of your customers, enabling you to tailor your products or services accordingly.
You can test the market before you create the product.
Sharing Your Expertise
Posting relevant and valuable content on social media platforms allows you to showcase your expertise and establish yourself as a thought leader in your industry.
By sharing valuable insights, tips, and information, you attract potential clients and inspire existing customers to trust your brand even more.
This credibility and trust are crucial for businesses seeking to grow and succeed in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
Visual Storytelling
The visual nature of many social media platforms, such as Instagram, enables businesses to tell their stories captivatingly.
You can showcase your products or services in action through high-quality images and videos, highlight customer testimonials, or even provide behind-the-scenes glimpses into your company’s daily operations.
These visual stories can leave a lasting impression on your audience, making them more likely to remember and engage with your brand.
Expanding Your Reach
With billions of users, social media platforms allow businesses to tap into a diverse and expansive audience. By leveraging the power of hashtags, paid advertising, and influencer partnerships, you can expand your reach beyond your existing customer base and attract new clients.
This increased visibility can lead to higher website traffic, more sales, and ultimately, greater success for your business.
Cost-Effective Marketing
Compared to traditional marketing channels, social media posting offers a more cost-effective way to reach and engage with potential customers.
With little to no monetary investment, you can create and share content that resonates with your target audience, driving brand awareness, engagement, and conversions.
This cost efficiency makes social media an attractive option for businesses of all sizes, from small startups.
And of course, there is always paid advertising on social media as well, and if you opt for that route, find an expert; otherwise, it can become an endless pit.
If you are starting out:
Research the platforms to find the one or two where your audience hangs out, keep an eye on the others and do not rest on your laurels. It is a fabulous opportunity to raise awareness of you and what you do.
If you choose to work with an agency, do your due diligence – in fact, that is a given for anything you do
